The firefighting equipment used to fight large-scale petrochemical fires mainly includes water tower fire trucks and foam fire trucks. 

Although the application of the high-flow 10,000-liter pump gradually increases the flow of water tower fire truck, and the high-flow remote water supply truck can also solve the problem of external water supply, but the foaming ratio of the conventional B-type foam system is low, and the amount of foam used in a single large-scale fire is extremely large; because the foam fire truck does not have a high arm, the pressure loss is small, and the spray flow rate of the fire monitor will be higher than water tower fire truck, but there is a lot of waste in the spraying process. 

At present, conventional fire-fighting equipment has poor fire-extinguishing and anti-re-ignition effects when fighting large petrochemical fires, and requires a large amount of fire-fighting water and foam fire-extinguishing agents, which is more and more difficult to meet the actual fire-fighting needs.
