The water guns of fire trucks are the main structure of fire trucks. The quality of fire trucks determines whether fire trucks can play the most important role in real fires. If the fire truck has a reduced range of water guns, we need to be able to find the cause of the reduction and solve it. How do we find the cause of the reduction in the range of fire guns?
1. The valve of the fire pump is not opened or not fully opened, causing a part of the water in the fire truck tank to circulate in the pump body from the fire gun, which will inevitably lead to a reduction in range. Re-operate the valve to see if it returns to range.
2. If the valve is fully open, start the engine of the fire truck, hang the power take-off, observe whether the power take-off of the vehicle is normal, and whether the drive shaft connected to the fire pump is running the whole vehicle, and there is no fault sound. If there is, need to repair the power take-off
3. If there is no problem with the valve and booster, it is necessary to check whether the inside of the tank is clogged. The water in the tank should be drained. It is recommended to let the water from the suction port of the fire pump, and then observe whether the water flow is normal. If the loss is not normal, then the system must be faulty. When the water in the tank is drained, enter the inside of the tank from the manhole of the roof and observe whether the filter in the tank inlet and outlet is blocked. If the filter plugs into the pump body, the water must be reduced, which is one of the common failures of the fire gun's range reduction.
4. Then use the fire pump of the fire truck to observe whether the pump body is working normally, that is, whether the fire pump can absorb water normally and whether the water absorption time is abnormal. If it is found that the water absorption and water absorption time are longer than normal, then the fire is inevitable. The pump has failed. Here is a simple way to observe the failure of the pump body, remove the tank suction port and observe the state of the impeller in the pump body.
5. When there is no problem in the above inspection, confirm whether the fire cannon is damaged or blocked. If it is, then the range will be reduced and it needs to be repaired or replaced.
