Precautions for daily use of power take-offs and fire pumps for fire engines.

Fire truck manufacturers to tell you about the daily use of fire trucks: there are two main aspects of fire truck power take-off and fire pump

1. When the power take-off of the fire truck is cut in or out, pay attention to whether the clutch is completely separated, and the engine speed is very low, so as to be in mesh or disengaged, to avoid malfunctions such as folding teeth or broken forks.

2. The fire pump's water-free idling time of the fire truck shall not exceed 3 minutes, and no water-free high-speed operation is strictly prohibited.

3. During the use of the fire truck, before closing all the outlet valves, the speed of the fire pump must be reduced first, and the fire pump is not allowed to run beyond the rated working pressure for a long time.

4. After the fire truck has been diverted, the diversion handle must be reset.

5. When the power take-off device works, it will generate a certain amount of heat. Therefore, in the summer or when the working time exceeds 10 minutes, the cooling water plug valve must be opened to cool the power take-off gear oil. Otherwise, the fault will occur, and the work must be completed. Release the remaining water.

6. The fire pump may use corrosive water during the fire extinguishing process, so it must be rinsed with clean water and drained after use. When the ambient temperature is below 0 °C, if the residual water is not released in time, there is a risk of a major accident if the fire pump is cracked.
